Alongside taxation, we believe that knowledge acquisition is a key to a fairer and more equitable planet for all. For tax professionals in the global South, gaining perspectives that are relevant and applicable to their context is vital to make informed decisions about the best way forward. This mutual belief that the future is one of autonomy and equal access for the global South unites the Capabuild Foundation and the Committee on Fiscal Studies at University of Nairobi. Capabuild is a tax training organisation that works with revenue services and tax professionals across continents, while the Committee on Fiscal Studies is a knowledge advocacy and research centre. By combining our skills and knowledge to bring this portal to the service of our colleagues in the profession we hope to build the capacity of all nations to finance their own development. The portal serves to aggregate, or bring together, available resources online so that each user can choose which may suit their needs in their own professional development. It has been arranged in a way that helps users select the most relevant categories to them, as well as consider the hurdles that must be overcome to complete the learning.
